Responsibilities for TSG
As President and CEO, Mr. Sprague is responsible for all of the
day-to-day operations of the company. He is actively involved in
all aspects of the company, including business development. He
also takes an active role in strategic planning for the company.
Mr. Sprague works in the company's corporate office in Savannah,
Georgia.
Experience
Jonathan Sprague is the President and Chief
Executive Officer of TSG. Mr. Sprague served as Vice President
and General Counsel of TSG from the time he joined TSG in
September 1998 through November 2001, when he was elected
as the firm’s President and CEO. He has also served
on TSG’s Board of Directors since September 1998.
Prior to joining TSG in 1998, Mr.
Sprague was a partner with the law firm of Hunter, Maclean,
Exley and Dunn, P.C. of Savannah, Georgia, where he practiced
law for more than 18 years. At the time he left the firm,
he was head of the Corporate Department and responsible
for corporate, commercial, securities, and mergers and acquisitions
matters for clients of the firm, including TSG. While at Hunter Maclean,
he worked on numerous matters for national clients with more than
$1 billion in sales to a broad variety of matters for a number of
start-up and development stage companies. He began his representation
of TSG in 1995.
Mr. Sprague has been and continues
to be an active member of the Savannah, Georgia community.
He is a founding member and past president of the Business,
Education and Technology Alliance of Southeastern Georgia
(BETA), and he is a founding member and currently serves
as Chairman of the Savannah Fund for Excellence in Public
Education. He has also served on the Board of Directors
of a number of other organizations, including currently
the Advisory Board of the Georgia Institute
of Technology Regional Engineering Program (GTREP), which
constitutes the Southeast Georgia campus of the Georgia
Institute of Technology. He has also previously served on
the Board of Directors of the Skidaway Marine Science
Foundation, which supports the Skidaway Marine Science
Institute, a unit of the University System of Georgia, and other community
organizations.
